Frequently Asked Questions
Can my computer really be fixed remotely? At Fix Remotely .com we can fix most computer problems remotely using special software which allows us to connect to your computer from anywhere in the world. This will enable our certified technicians to control your computer and make repairs while you watch.
What can Fix Remotely actually repair remotely? Most computer problems usually revolve around viruses and spyware. These issues can be easily fixed remotely. After a technician connects to your computer they are able to install special software which will allow them to scan and clean your computer. The technician can also work on the following remotely: Windows errors, installing programs, training users on software, setting up wireless printers and devices, and installing other plug and play devices. Some plug and play devices as well as some software can't be installed remotely, so please call before purchasing.
Can Fix Remotely connect to my computer when I don’t want them to? No, the specific version of the program we use is called LogMeInRescue. This program, unlike the popular program logmein, requires the client to open the program each time they want to connect with a technician.
Will other people be able to access my computer once I install this program? No. The only people that can access your computer while this program is open is Fix Remotely. The program you will download is customized so that only our company can connect to your computer when you authorize it.
Can I remove the program once I run it? Yes. The program automatically gets removed when you close the program. This program does not install anything onto your computer. Each time you want to connect you will need to run the program from the website again.
Do I always have to go to the website to request help? For clients who need help regularly, for example companies who need constant tech support, we offer a program called a calling card. This program will save onto your computer and will establish a connection when you request. Having the program on your computer will not allow us to connect to it automatically; you will need to run the program first.
